Los Angeles police say Chris was taken in for booking on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after a lengthy search of his home.
Earlier that day, the 27-year-old singer took to his Instagram to share videos declaring his innocence and welcoming police to search his home with a warrant.
The woman in the middle of the controversy claims that she was hanging out at Chris' Los Angeles home and stopped to admire a piece of jewelry. Chris allegedly began freaking out and pulled out a gun and told the woman to get out of the home.
